STAMPtember Bog Party - Waves of Change

Hi all!  Have you checked out the massive STAMPtember release from Simon Says Stamp yet?  Today I'm taking part in the STAMPtember Blog Party.  All around the interwebs today crafty folks are sharing projects featuring items from the release.  For the full list of participants head over the the Simon Says Stamp blog.

Today I'm sharing some cards featuring the Waves of Change products that I designed.  There is a stamp set as well as a stencil.  I thought it would be fun to share three different ways to use these products.

First, the easiest card I've created from all the STAMPtember products I designed. There are three large images that can be combined to create the waves, but you don't need to use all three together, you can mix and match the layers to create different looks.

This card uses just the solid base layer and the wave accents.  For this card I used the solid base inking it with Faded Jeans distress ink, spritzing it with water, and then stamping it onto watercolor paper.

I repeated this process with the accents, but this time used Outdoor Denim.

I added one of the sentiments from the set, and that was it.  Super simple and easy.

Next up, I combined the stamps and stencil:

Again, I started by stamping the solid base image, this time using Altenew Ocean Waves ink.  The wave accents were then stamped with Dusk, and then I placed the line image over top, stamping that with Desert Night.  One of my favorite things about this set is that it's so forgiving.  You really don't have to be that precise when you combine the images.

Once the stamping was done, I placed the stencil over top, and very lightly added a bit of Ocean Waves ink, mostly to the bottom section, but I did add a very soft inking to the sky above.

The panel was trimmed down, a sentiment was added, and I also added white splatter for some ocean spray.

Finally, the card that took me the longest.

I decided I wanted to try no line coloring with this image, so I stamped it with Gina K Whisper amalgam ink.

I used two 'families' to color the waves:  B00, BG45, BG07, BG09, and then B93, B97/B34, B37, B39 (I started with B34, but it needs reinker, so I switched over to B97 about halfway through).

As I mentioned, this took a LONG time to color, but I really love the results.

The sentiment is another from the set.

If you have made it all the way to the end of this post, you deserve a prize!  There are all sorts of different prize codes you can collect from the party and this is mine:

AND, if you're new to my blog, you'll want to check out yesterday's post to learn all about the giveaways I'm offering this week.

Come back tomorrow for more STAMPtember inspiration!
