Hey everyone! I have one more card to share today featuring my Lined Background stamp for Simon Says Stamp.
For today's card I did a little fussy cutting. I stamped the background on five shades of cardstock from a light yellow to a dark green.
The light yellow was trimmed down to form my base panel. I then fussy cut the bottom row of lines off of my next color, lined up, and adhered that piece to my light yellow.
This process was repeated with each of the colors to create a fun ombre effect. You also get some great dimension using this technique.
For the sentiment, I used this older Woot die from Simon. The sentiment itself was cut from that light yellow, and the shadow piece was die cut five times from black cardstock and stacked together. Normally I do three layers, but I think that the extra two really make the sentiment pop since it's a pretty busy background.
That's all for me today. Thanks for stopping by!
