Happy Friday! Today I'm participating in a blog hop celebrating Simon Says Stamp's latest Yay You release. You should have arrived here from Emily Midgett's blog.
As always, there are prizes. Leave a comment below for your chance to win $25 to spend in the Simon store. AND, if you make a purchase $25 or more between now and Sunday night, use BEAUTY and get the Beautiful die set pictured below for free!
I started with the second largest arch, inking it with Lemonade. I then lined the next arch up with the left side of the first arch, and inked with Citrine. This process was repeated with the next two sizes of arch and Pucker and Cherry ink. Note that i used blending brushes with a very light hand because I didn't want to overdo the contrast in my layers.
The sentiment is from the new Yay You set and was stamped with Versafine.
I wanted to show you guys that you don't have to have a massive ink collection to create this type of card.
For this green version, I used the exact same technique, but this time I used just one color of ink, Aspen.
You still get that great graphic gradiant look. You can amp up the contrast even more by inking with a heavier hand, but I love that this is a technique that isn't dependent on having more supplies.
The sentiment is also from the Yay You set.
OK, I'm going to send you on your way now. You next stop is Alberto Gava, and I have the entire list below in case you need it.
Don't forget to leave comments along the way to be entered to win those $25 store credits. Happy hopping and good luck!
