Are you guys enjoying the new Simon Says Stamp Yay You release? Today I'm sharing a card created using the new Sketched Peony Blossom hot foil/die set.
Peonies are my favorites flower, and this foil plate is just so elegant and gorgeous.
I started by hot foiling four of the peonies on some maroon cardstock. I then added some inking to the center of my flowers using my small blending brush and Cherry ink. This gives the flowers a little bit of dimension. Once those were all inked, the were die cut.
I cut a panel of the same colored cardstock and inked that using the large blending brush and Cherry ink. I wanted to get a bit of definition to really make the flowers pop since the outer edges of the peonies don't have inking on them.
It's a subtle difference, but really elevates the card.
To finish things off, I die cut the Here for You sentiment from Matte Gold Cardstock. The shadow piece was die cut from the maroon cardstock and the edges were inked to make it pop.
I added a thin strip of the Matte Gold cardstock to ground the sentiment. Both the sentiment and the strip were popped up with foam tape.
That's all for me today, come back tomorrow for a fun blog hop!
