Hey everyone! I'm back with a couple more cards featuring my new Printmaking Birds set for Simon Says Stamp.
Each of my Printmaking sets includes one stamp that has the outline image of the set. Most of the time I use this image for lining things up, but every so often it's nice to use that stamp for coloring.
For my first card, I stamped the image with Versafine onto a kraft card base.
The images were then colored with Prismacolor colored pencils. Colored pencils on kraft is one of my favorite looks!
Once my coloring was done, I placed the card base back into my stamping platform and stamped again with Versafine to crisp up the image.
I also added a sentiment from the set stamped with Versafine.
My second card features a trio of birds which were colored with Copics.
I stamped the outline image on some Neenah Solar White cardstock, with Gina K Black Amalgam ink, and then colored. I used R02, R05, R08, E21 (this was a substitute for my E11 which is totally dried out), E13, E15, E18, and YR23. I then die cut the birds with the coordinating dies.
I created a cloudy background for my birds using the Horizon Lines stencil inked with some Marine ink and a 'wire' created using a curved edge and a journaling pen. The bird were then arranged to sit on the wire.
The sentiment is from my Printmaking Houses set.
I added a frame from Waffle Flower's Wooden Frame dies to finish things off. It was cut from Kraft cardstock, inked a with Cappuccino ink, and then popped up with foam tape.
That's all for me today. I don't know about you guys, but I am definitely ready for the weekend! One more day!!!
