Super quick and easy card to share today featuring the European Buildings set from Simon's Smitten release.
I've seen some really gorgeous, colorful, and detailed designs featuring these European buildlings, but when I initially saw the set I was inspired to create a more graphic, clean and simple design.
In the stamp set there are three layers for each of the buildlings which add detail and color to the design. For this card, I used just two of the layers for each building, the solid design that creates the buildling itself with window openings, and the piece with window details.
Both of these pieces were stamped with Black Versa Claire ink.
Rather than die cut the buildings, I chose to fussy cut them because I wanted that very clean line around each of the buildlings.
I also die cut a red heart using one of the dies from the Nested Round Hearts set.
The heart was adhered to a soft gray panel.
I then popped up a black 'ground ' piece on which the sentiment, also from the set, was embossed in white.
The buildings were also popped up with foam tape.
This was a very simple card to create, but I like the impact. It would also look great with a large circle as a moon on a darker or inked background.....something I will need to try soon.
Thanks for visiting and have a wonderful Christmas!
