SSS Good Luck Charm, Shamrock Background

Hey everyone!  I'm back with another card featuring the Good Luck Charm release from Simon Says Stamp.

Today I thought I would show one of the products in the release that reflects the theme of the release.  I was so excited about this Shamrock Background when I saw it in my box.  I just love the details and how bold the shamrocks are.

I started by creating the background panel.  I watched some of Tim Holtz's videos the other weekend and was inspired to get a little inky and messy.  I used a panel of TH Watercolor Paper, and then spritzed it with water and Tree Lot and Holly Branch Distress Mica Stain as well as some Lucky Charm Distress Spray Stain.  I dried the paper a little, but not completely dry, then sprayed some of those same stains onto my work surface, dabbed the watercolor paper into it, dried some more, repeat, etc.  I also pressed my Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide ink onto my work surface, misted it with water, and pressed my paper into that a bit too.

This all created a really cool, variegated green background.  Once that was dry, I embossed the Shamrock Background in gold.

The sentiment is from the Clean Line Stacks set, and I used the coordinating dies to cut it out of green cardstock.  I wanted it to stand out a bit more, so I inked it around the edges with SSS Field Pawsitively Saturated Ink.

This was popped up over my panel for some extra dimension.

That's all for me today.  Back tomorrow with some more Good Luck Charm goodness!
