SSS Dual Diamonds Redux 2

*This post contains affiliate links to Simon Says Stamp.

One more Dual Diamonds card to share today, I love all the different possibilities with this cover!

I started by inlaying white and yellow diamond halves into a black lattice.

Once that was done, I took a yellow lattice piece and adhered it over top, slightly offset, and trimming off the excess black lattice sections.

The sentiment, from the Yay You set, was stamped with Versa Clair black ink and die cut.  I also die cut an extra sentinent piece in black and offset it, to mimic the background.  The completed sentiment piece was popped up with foam tape, and I added a Reverse Sentiment Strip as well.

That's all for today, but lots of good stuff is heading our way next week....STAMPtember is coming!

SSS Dual Diamonds Redux

I've got a super quick card to share using one of the leftover Dual Diamonds cover pieces that I had lying around.  This time I'm just using the lattice piece  as a background.

The lattice really doesn't need much else.  It was adhered directly to my card base, and then the Whirl Bay Leaves die cut from Glossy Black cardstock.

A sentiment strip and a few Cottontail embellishments completed the look.

SSS Happy Camper, Dual Diamonds Take 4

One more Dual Diamonds Card to share with you today.  I'm still using some of the extra pieces from my initial card (for the hot pink and red), but also cut a few extra colors (maroon and light pink) to complete my ombre pattern.

The pieces were inlaid in a white lattice piece onto my card bsae.

The Love You sentiment was cut three times from black cardstock, adhered together and then to a vellum shadow piece.  The completed sentiment was then adhered with foam tape

Hope that this week has given you some good ideas for how you might use this plate!

SSS Happy Camper, Dual Diamonds Take 3

*This post contains affiliate links to Simon Says Stamp.

I've got another Dual Diamonds card to share with you guys today.  I'm again using extra pieces from these two initial cards that I created.

This time I cut I small scrap piece of cardstock and adhered the chartreuse and green half diamonds in an alternating pattern.  I then randomly added some of the gold matte half diamonds over the pattern.  This piece was adhered directly in the top left of a white panel.

I then die cut the greenery piece from the Beautiful Branch Die set from black cardstock adhering it over top.

A Reverse Sentiment Strip and a few embellishments completed the card.

See you back here tomorrow for some more Dual Diamonds inspiration.

SSS Happy Camper, Dual Diamonds Take 2

*This post conatins affiliate links to Simon Says Stamp.

Hi all!  This week I'm sharing some additional ways to use my Dual Diamonds cover plate.   This cards uses some extra pieces from these cards that I shared a couple weeks ago.

This was very easy to create.  I placed one of my extra lattice pieces over a black panel to use as a guide.  This was not adhered, I just taped it in place with some Post-It tape.

I then inlaid the gold pieces into the lattice, adhering them with Bearly Art glue.  The lattice was then removed and the panel trimmed down.

The Yay You senetiment was die cut from Matte Gold cardstock, like the inlaid pieces, adhered to a black shadow piece, and then popped up with foam tape.

That's all for today.  Come back tomorrow for another Dual Diamonds idea.

SSS Happy Camper Release, Dual Diamonds Cover

*This post contains affiliate lnks to Simon Says Stamp.

Hi friends!  The Simon Says Stamp Happy Camper release is live in the store!

Today I'm showing off my newest cover plate, Dual Diamonds.  Hoping you guys will love this one as much as I do.  It's a great cover because it's so versatile, you can use it in lots of different ways.

For today's cards, I cut the plate from four different colors: chartreuse, kelly green, hot pink, and red, as well as white and Gold Matte.

For the card on the left, the diamond halves were the different colors as well as gold half diamonds were randomly inlaid in the white ribbing piece, and for the card on the right, I followed more of a pattern.

I used the Joyful dies (I combined the sentiment die with the coordinating die for the stamp set) for the card on the left, alternating the pink and red letters and using Gold Matte for the star above the j.  This was popped up over the panel, and I added a secondary reverse sentiment strip as well.

For the other card, I used the Merry & Bright sentiment die cut from Silver Matte layerd over two other die cut sentiment pieces.  This was then adhered directly to my card base.

That's all for me today.  Be sure to head over to Simon to check out the full release, I'll see you back here tomorrow!
